Restaurant Seeking to Expand in Tri-Lakes Area

Restaurant officials of Pizza Ranch, a buffet-style restaurant that offers pizza, salad, chicken and dessert, recently announced they are looking to expand in the Tri-Lakes Area.

In statement from Stephanie Taylor with All Points Public Relations, Pizza Ranch is looking for applicants to open franchises in Branson, Hollister, Table Rock and Indian Point.

“Because we are a franchise system, that means that the restaurant would be owned by franchisees, so that’s why we’re just putting the word out,” Director of Franchise Development Marilyn Mayberry said in a phone interview.

According to Mayberry, Pizza Ranch has been in business for 34 years with almost 200 locations across the Midwest and Great Plains.

“Our headquarters is in northwest Iowa, and we’ve just kind of continued to grow in the states around Iowa,” Mayberry said.

“So this is just a natural progression for us to move south.”

There are Pizza Ranch locations currently in Missouri, including Maryville, Kansas City, Liberty, Independence and one being developed in St. Joseph.

“We would love just (to) continue to grow and develop in Missouri, and certainly (in) Columbia, and Jefferson City.” Mayberry said. “We have interests in Springfield, Joplin and of course Branson.”

Pizza Ranch is mainly a dine-in restaurant, but it also offers carry-out and delivery.

“(Pizza Ranch is) a very family-friendly environment, and certainly great food that appeals to a broad range of people, and then great values, so that’s our concept,” Mayberry said.

A Pizza Ranch restaurant is approximately 5,000 to 6,000 square feet, which includes community rooms for parties and various gatherings.

“Our community rooms are very much a part of who we are and (they are) very popular,” Mayberry said.

“It’s just a great avenue for people to come together and have a place to have fun and dine together.”

Chosen applicants will be provided with guidance and support when starting a new franchise. “We will work with them to find the real estate and through the construction process, and that’s followed up with training and support, and ongoing field support, as well,” Mayberry said.

As a charitable effort, Mayberry said Pizza Ranch owners will host community impact nights in their communities where a percentage of the night’s sales are donated to local nonprofit organizations.

“When we go into a community, we very much want to give back to that community and be a part of that community,” Mayberry said.

In addition to financial support, Mayberry said the community impact nights allow for organizations to spread awareness in their community.

“It’s a nice way to become a part of the community and give back to the community too.”
