We do our best to make the process of becoming our next franchisee as straightforward as possible. We know this is often a life-changing decision and we want you to be sure that Pizza Ranch is right for you.
Our structured 9-step process helps you educate yourself, make connections with our team and current franchisees, and determine if the Pizza Ranch opportunity is your door to the American dream. And by the way, if you want to learn about franchising with us from another perspective, we encourage you to talk with any of our existing franchisees to learn firsthand what it’s like. After you do, we bet you’ll be even more inspired to bring our unique concept to your neighborhood.
One of our franchise development representatives will give you a call after receiving your request for information or your franchise application. We think it’s important to get to know each other and determine whether we’re a mutually good fit. We’ll answer your initial questions and talk about your qualifications, experience, goals and objectives. We’ll also send you the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) either electronically or on good, ol’-fashioned paper and review it with you.
If we both continue to pursue the opportunity, you’ll have a face-to-face meeting with your franchise development representative to learn more about Pizza Ranch franchising and support. This is where things start to get serious. After this meeting, you’ll want to continue your due diligence by talking with some current franchisees to get an added perspective from those already working in the business.
At this point, you’ll get an invitation to our Discovery Days event at the Pizza Ranch Support Center in Orange City, IA. This is an opportunity to meet with our leadership team and each department head to learn more about how we support our franchisees. You will also present parts of your business plan so our team will be familiar with your management and financing plans. You’ll also gain first-hand experience in a training restaurant to see what a typical day is like for a franchisee.
When you’re awarded a license to franchise a Pizza Ranch restaurant, you will sign our Franchise Agreement and other required documents. Congratulations!
Soon after signing the Franchise Agreement, you’ll begin work with the Pizza Ranch Director of Real Estate to identify and secure an ideal site/location for your restaurant.
Upon securing a site, the construction team will take over and begin working through the design, bid and construction processes. They’ll also connect you with our outside vendors and help keep things running smoothly until opening day.
The 5-week manager training program at the Restaurant Support Center and at one of the training restaurants will help prepare you for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. Pizza Ranch field trainers will also provide comprehensive in-restaurant training for all team members prior to opening.
Local marketing, public relations and social media will all work in conjunction to get the word out your restaurant is open! Congratulations again!
