Pizza Ranch Owner Pleased with Galesburg Opening

Pizza Ranch opened Monday and did better than expected, its franchise owner said.

While he didn’t have numbers, Franchise Owner Brandon Pratt said guests started lining up at 10:20 a.m. for the 11 a.m. opening, and the line stretched across the front and around the corner.

“It went even better than even I expected,” he said. “It exceeded our expectations, everyone was happy, and we were able to deal with the high volume.”

“We’re only a couple days, but it’s exceeding what our sales expectations are, and we set those pretty high,” he added.

Pratt credited his employees and the excitement from Galesburg for the strong opening.

“We’re very thankful to be part of the city of Galesburg,” he said. “There’s been a lot of excitement leading up, and the people of Galesburg didn’t let us down.”

Pratt expects Pizza Ranch, which is located just south of Aldi on North Seminary Street, to be pretty busy the next couple weeks, with lines during lunch and dinner.

He encouraged people to take advantage of the pizza buffet and fried chicken restaurant’s delivery and pick-up window options.

Pizza Ranch broke ground in March after its pre-construction requests were approved by Galesburg’s Planning and Zoning Commission in July 2015.
