On the surface, it’s simple: When a business supports its community, the community will support the business. But the benefits of giving back go far beyond the drive for guest loyalty. And while philanthropy is positive for any brand, the most successful businesses know a solid reputation is the result of—and not the reason for—doing good.
At Pizza Ranch, for example, our service-centric model is largely rooted in faith and our vision to glorify God by positively impacting the world. Our community relationships include partnerships with approximately 5,400 different groups—from schools and civic organizations to other businesses and churches. Many Pizza Ranch Franchise Owners choose to support local charities and causes through our Community Impact Fundraising Events. Typically held one or two nights a week, this highly popular program invites organizations to serve Pizza Ranch guests in exchange for donations or a percentage of the night’s sales. Not only do we believe in being active neighbors locally, we’re also committed to giving back globally. Take, for example, “Ranch Roast.” It’s a partnership with a small cooperative we source our coffee from in Ethiopia, and where we’ve helped build new schools and education facilities.
And our passion to serve doesn’t stop with our Pizza Ranch guests and communities either. It’s just as important we serve our Franchise Owners, and provide the support and partnership necessary to build a successful business. That means making the right resources available and providing ongoing development opportunities to maintain growth. Of course, when a Franchise Owner can believe in the brand behind their business, the passion comes naturally.
